Celebrity Inspired #FOTD: Olivia Munn

Hey there, sexy! Today, I was really feeling a face of the day post and celebrity inspired look. So, do you have as much of a girl crush on Olivia Munn as I do? I adore her look that is both cute and sexy, and her makeup always looks put together but not too over the top, and if you dont know who she is you can click here for an image. So, today I thought I’d recreate her smudgy, smoky eye and dewey, bronzed skin. It’s super beautiful and wearable.

Before I did my makeup I coiffed my hair by using some argan oil to give it a healthy shine and straightened as normal. I also rocked Olivia’s middle parting today. I prepped my skin with my morning skin care routine.

To start off the makeup look, I applied my 100% Pure Tinted Moisturizer in the shade white peach, which I talked about in my “Shopping my Stash” post here.

I then started with the eyes since I knew there’d be some fall down to clean up later. So, I first primed my lids with NARS Pro-Prime. I can’t find a natural primer that doesn’t crease after a few minutes even though I’ve tried quite a few, but for now I’m content with this one. Feel free to leave any suggestions in the comments section.

To get a good shape to the eye makeup I placed a post-it note at a wide angle on the corners of my eye. I then took MAC’s “Woodwinked” eye shadow and ran it over my lids and with a smudger brush under the eyes. I also took Silk Natural’s “Spin” and put it on the inner third of my lids. I decided this wasn’t smoky enough so I took the By Terry Ombre Blackstar in the shade “Bronze Moon” and ran it along the perimeter of the eye and blended everything together with the famous MAC 217 brush.

Now for the part that is really going to give you that Olivia Munn smoldering look: the smudged out black liner. I took Tarte’s Skinny SoolderEYES in the shade “Onyx” and kept it as close to the lash line as possible, then smudged it out again. Have I used the word “smudge” enough yet? Smudge!

Alright, then I heaped on my favorite mascara of the moment which is the Physicians Formula Fake Out mascara. I am open to trying other natural mascaras if anyone has some suggestions but I find this one works really well for me and it’s affordable. OK, eyes done.

I concealed my pesky spots and puffy undereyes with my well-love RMS beauty “un” cover-up in number 11, which you can read more about here. I just used my fingers to tap it in so that I didn’t lose any of the coverage. Favorite and comment if you adore RMS Beauty! (god, I love that brand and Rose Marie Swift herself)

Time to bronze and blush! Olivia is obviously more tan than I am (as I am a pasty zombie) so I took my Buriti bronzer on a Real Techniques buffing brush and went to town, making sure to blend, blend, blend this into my cheeks, temples, and down my neck. The pictures I have included don’t do this product much justice but it’s absolutely gorgeous in person. (Comment if you’d like me to do a full review of this.)

When looking at pictures of Olivia, I noticed she always has a really peachy looking blush on, but it looks really natural so I opted for a creamy lip and cheek tint from 100% Pure in what other color than, you guessed it, Peach.

I used some Silk Naturals oil control primer powder to set the makeup in my t-zone, but left the rest of the skin dewey looking, as Olivia never looks matte in any of the pictures I’ve seen.

Finally, for the lips I used my new Bite Beauty lip stick in the color “musk” which is a natural browny nude tone. To top it off, I used Ilia’s Peek A Boo lipgloss (because it just wouldn’t be a Grace post if I didn’t mention this product). To read my review of this lip gloss click here. And, here are some pictures in different lighting of me acting like a model.  😛

So, I hope you liked this celebrity inspired look and tweet us some pictures if you decide to recreate it (you don’t have to use all of the products I used, obvious;y you can use whatever works best for you). Please feel free to like, comment, subscribe, share, and tweet about this post. Be sure to let me know if you’d like to see more of these, maybe we can make it a weekly thing?

Happy Reading, Beautiful!
